Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex
A water Ogerpon that pins the enemy in place and hits two Pokémon at once.
What this card does
Wellspring Mask Ogerpon ex is a Basic Pokémon, so no evolving is needed. Its first job is control. A small attack called Sob stops the opponent's Active Pokémon retreating, which traps something a child wants to keep attacking.
Its bigger attack hits two Pokémon in one go. It deals damage to the Pokémon in front and, by giving up some of its own Energy, also reaches a Pokémon sitting safely on the opponent's Bench.
Torrential Pump
You may shuffle 3 Energy attached to this Pokémon into your deck. If you do, this attack also does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (100 damage)
Torrential Pump does 100 damage to the Active Pokémon. You may then shuffle 3 Energy from this Pokémon back into your deck, and if you do, it also does 120 damage to one Benched Pokémon. That second hit lets you reach a threat the opponent is trying to protect, which can win games slower decks cannot.
Attacks
During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat.
You may shuffle 3 Energy attached to this Pokémon into your deck. If you do, this attack also does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Which deck it belongs in
It is a key attacker in the Ogerpon box deck, partnering Teal Mask Ogerpon ex to mix Energy acceleration with two-target damage.
- •Basic Pokémon, ready early
- •Sob traps the opponent in place
- •Torrential Pump hits the Bench as well as the front
- •Reaches Pokémon the opponent is protecting
- •The big hit costs you 3 Energy, slowing your next turn
- •Gives up 2 Prize cards when knocked out
- •Needs re-charging after each Torrential Pump
Pairs well with

Teal Dance refuels the Energy that Torrential Pump keeps shuffling away.

Skyliner makes this Basic free to retreat, so you can swap attackers cheaply.
Only shuffle away the Energy for the Bench hit when that second target actually matters, because you will spend a turn re-charging afterwards.
Top players who use this deck
A steady toolbox deck that reached the Top 8 at Australia's Melbourne Regional. Ogerpon ex cards are so flexible that they also appear as pieces in several other decks.
The Wellspring Mask is one of Ogerpon's four masks, tied to water, which is why this version is a Water-type and floods the field with its pump attack.
A popular ex found in many Grass and Water builds. A child running an Ogerpon deck will usually want one.
