Dusknoir
The closer that turns chip damage into knockouts.
What this card does
Dusknoir does not attack much. It is a tool. It evolves from Duskull then Dusclops, and it exists to deliver one precise burst of damage exactly where it is needed.
In the Dragapult deck it is the perfect partner. Dragapult spreads small amounts of damage around the Bench, and Dusknoir finishes the job on a Pokémon that is nearly gone.
Cursed Blast
Once during your turn, you may put 13 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. If you use this Ability, this Pokémon is Knocked Out.
Cursed Blast places 13 damage counters (130 damage) on any one of the opponent's Pokémon. The catch is that Dusknoir knocks itself out to do it. It is a one-time sacrifice, used at the right moment to take a Prize the opponent thought was safe.

Almost always seen alongside Dragapult ex, where its big targeted hit combines with Dragapult's spread damage to score knockouts early.

Dragapult ex is the most successful deck of the season, with event wins including the Korean League Final, Lima, Los Angeles, Champions League Aichi and Prague. At Australia's Melbourne Regional it took first, second and several Top 8 places, and Australian Junior Bayzen A. finished 5th.
Dusknoir is said to carry people away to the spirit world. On the card it removes a Pokémon from the board just as suddenly.
A common Rare, so it is cheap and easy to find. The line needs three cards (Duskull, Dusclops, Dusknoir), so buy the whole evolution line together.
