What this card does

A Supporter is a help card, and you may play only one each turn. Lillie's Determination tells you to shuffle your whole hand back into your deck, then draw six new cards. If you still have all six of your Prize cards left, meaning you have not knocked anything out yet, you draw eight instead.

You play it to escape a weak hand and get a fresh set of options. It is strongest on your first turn, when the eight-card draw gives you a big, clean start.

What it does

Lillie's Determination

Shuffle your hand into your deck. Then, draw 6 cards. If you have exactly 6 Prize cards remaining, draw 8 cards instead.

Lillie's Determination shuffles your hand into your deck and draws you six fresh cards, or eight if you have taken no Prizes yet. It matters because a bad hand can stall your whole turn, and this card replaces it with a new one. The early bonus makes it a powerful opening play.

Which deck it belongs in

A main draw Supporter used across many decks. It became a key way to refill your hand after some older draw Supporters left the format.

Strengths
  • Trades a stuck hand for six fresh cards
  • Draws eight on turn one, a strong opening
  • Simple to use with no setup needed
Watch out for
  • You must shuffle away your current hand, so any good cards in it go back into the deck
  • The eight-card bonus is gone once you have taken even one Prize

Pairs well with

Ultra Ball
Ultra Ball

Use Ultra Ball and other Items first to keep what you need, then shuffle the rest away for a fresh six or eight.

Buddy-Buddy Poffin
Buddy-Buddy Poffin

Set up your Bench with Items first, then refill your hand without losing progress.

Pro tip

Play your Items first to lock in the cards you want, then use this to refresh everything else, especially on turn one for the eight-card draw.

Good to know

It is a Trainer card with no HP or attacks. Draw Supporters like this are how a deck keeps a steady flow of useful cards.

Note for the parent

A common Supporter. Decks often run a few copies as their main way to draw cards.
