What this card does
An Item is a card you can play freely, as many as you like in a turn. Buddy-Buddy Poffin lets you search your deck for up to two Basic Pokémon with 70 HP or less and place them directly on your Bench (the row of Pokémon waiting to come in).
You play it early to fill your Bench fast. Those small Basics are the starting forms you later evolve, or the helpers that power your deck, so getting them down quickly gets everything moving a turn sooner.

Buddy-Buddy Poffin searches your deck for up to two Basic Pokémon with 70 HP or less and puts them onto your Bench at once. It matters because most decks need several small Pokémon set up early, and this card does the work of two normal searches in a single play.
Which deck it belongs in
A core set-up card used across most decks. Almost any deck that relies on evolving Pokémon or on small support Pokémon wants it.

Poffin lands the small Basic, then Rare Candy jumps it straight to its Stage 2 form.
Gets the small Dreepy onto the Bench early so the evolution line can start.
Play it on your first or second turn while your Bench is empty, so you get the full value of two new Pokémon.
It is a Trainer card with no HP or attacks. It simply builds your board so your real attackers can get going.
