Crustle
A Grass wall the format's ex attackers simply cannot hurt.
What this card does
Crustle is a Stage 1 Pokémon that evolves from Dwebble during the game. With 150 HP and a sturdy Ability, it is built to soak up hits.
It can attack for a decent amount with a coin flip for extra, but its main role is to sit in front and be very hard to knock out.

Prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon ex.
Prevent all damage done to Crustle by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon ex. In a format full of ex attackers, that turns Crustle into a wall many decks cannot get past.
Attacks
This attack's damage isn't affected by any effects on your opponent's Active Pokémon.
Abilities
Prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon ex.
Which deck it belongs in
It anchors a wall deck built to blank the big ex attackers, buying time while you chip away with Superb Scissors and set up the rest of your board.
- •Takes zero damage from any Pokémon ex attack
- •A healthy 150 HP for a single-Prize Pokémon
- •Superb Scissors does 120 and ignores effects on the opponent's Active Pokémon
- •Non-ex attackers can still knock it out normally
- •It does not stop damage from Abilities or Trainer cards
- •Decks with strong single-Prize attackers can play around it
Pairs well with

Both stall the opponent, so Crustle holds the front while Slowking denies Energy.
Lead with Crustle against the big ex decks. While their main attacker cannot touch it, keep chipping away with Superb Scissors.
Top players who use this deck
A real anti-ex wall deck at around 6% of decks on the 2026 circuit. We have not yet recorded a major Oceania result with it.
Crustle carries a heavy slab of rock on its back like a shield, which fits a card built to be a tough defensive wall.
Crustle is a single-Prize Pokémon, so losing it only gives the opponent one Prize card. You will need Dwebble first, so buy the evolution line together.
