Night Stretcher
Brings a knocked-out Pokémon or a spent Energy back to your hand.
What this card does
Takes one Pokémon, or one Basic Energy card, from your discard pile and puts it back into your hand.
Lets you reuse something you lost earlier instead of running out of pieces.
Night Stretcher
Put a Pokémon or a Basic Energy card from your discard pile into your hand.
Cards that are knocked out or used up go to the discard pile, which is like a bin beside the deck. Recovery means fishing a card out of that bin and getting it back. Night Stretcher does exactly this for one Pokémon or one Basic Energy, so a child can play that attacker or Energy again.
Which deck it belongs in
Useful in almost any deck because every deck loses Pokémon and Energy over a game and wants them back.
- •Easy to understand and play
- •Fits almost every deck
- •Recovers either a Pokémon or a Basic Energy, so it is flexible
- •It only returns the card to your hand, so you still have to play it again afterwards
- •It cannot get back special Energy or Trainer cards, only Pokémon and Basic Energy
Pairs well with
Bring a knocked-out main attacker back so your child can rebuild and keep playing.
Recover something Ultra Ball had you discard earlier in the game.
Hold it until you actually need the piece back, since a card in your hand now is often worth more later.
Recovery cards like this quietly keep a deck running long after the early Pokémon are gone.
A simple, friendly card. It just returns one thing your child already had, so there is no tricky timing to learn.
