Neo Upper Energy
A special Energy that supercharges a Stage 2 Pokémon.
What this card does
While attached, it provides 1 Colorless Energy on most Pokémon.
On a Stage 2 Pokémon it instead provides every type of Energy, but only 2 at a time.
Neo Upper Energy
You can't have more than 1 ACE SPEC card in your deck.
Basic Energy is the plain Energy that powers attacks, while special Energy is a fancier card that does something extra. This is an ACE SPEC, so a deck may include only one ACE SPEC card in total. On a Stage 2 Pokémon, a Pokémon that has grown up through two earlier stages, it counts as 2 Energy of any type, which gets big attackers ready fast.
Which deck it belongs in
Best in decks built around Stage 2 attackers that want to power up a turn sooner.
- •Counts as 2 Energy of any type on a Stage 2 Pokémon
- •Helps a big attacker hit a turn earlier than usual
- •Flexible, since it can cover any Energy type that Stage 2 needs
- •It only gives 1 Colorless Energy on Pokémon that are not Stage 2, so it is weak elsewhere
- •As an ACE SPEC, it uses up your only ACE SPEC slot for the whole deck
Pairs well with
Powers a Stage 2 style attacker quickly so it can attack sooner.

Rare Candy rushes out a Stage 2, then this Energy powers it up fast.
Save it for the Stage 2 Pokémon you most want online early, since you only get one ACE SPEC per deck.
On a Stage 2 Pokémon this single card counts as two Energy of any type, which is rare and powerful.
A little technical, so it suits a child who already understands stages and Energy. The payoff is a strong attacker that is ready earlier.
