Pokémon ToolACE SPECBeginner to play
Plays in: Raging Bolt ex

What this card does

It attaches to one of your Pokémon as a Tool.

That Pokémon's attacks do 50 more damage to the opponent's Active ex Pokémon.

What it does

Maximum Belt

You can't have more than 1 ACE SPEC card in your deck.

Maximum Belt is a Tool you attach to one of your attackers. While it is held, that Pokémon hits any opponent's Active ex Pokémon for 50 extra damage. Since most strong decks lean on ex Pokémon, that boost often turns a near miss into a clean knockout.

Which deck it belongs in

It pairs well with hard hitters like Raging Bolt ex that just need a little extra to knock out the biggest threats.

Strengths
  • Adds a clean 50 damage against ex Pokémon.
  • Simple to use, just attach it as a Tool.
  • Helps reach knockouts on big high HP targets.
Watch out for
  • As an ACE SPEC, you can only run one in the whole deck.
  • The bonus only counts against the opponent's ex Pokémon.

Pairs well with

Raging Bolt ex
Raging Bolt ex

Its big attack plus 50 more reaches the highest HP ex Pokémon.

Boss's Orders
Boss's Orders

Drags up the ex you want the bonus damage to land on.

Pro tip

Put it on your main attacker so the bonus lands on the turn you go for a knockout.

Good to know

Belt style Tools have a long history in the game, rewarding players who time their big hits well.

Note for the parent

This is an ACE SPEC card, so a deck can only include one copy. The extra damage only applies against ex Pokémon, not ordinary ones.
