Dipplin
The apple in the middle of the Hydrapple line.
What this card does
Sits between Applin and Hydrapple ex as the Stage 1 step.
Its attack lets you recover an Energy back into your hand while it deals damage.
Energy Loop
Put an Energy attached to this Pokémon into your hand. (50 damage)
Energy Loop does 50 damage and puts an Energy attached to Dipplin back into your hand. That returned Energy can then be played onto a bigger Pokémon next turn.
Attacks
Put an Energy attached to this Pokémon into your hand.
Which deck it belongs in
Dipplin is the connecting card in the Hydrapple ex deck, bridging the small Applin into the main attacker.
- •Recycles Energy so none is wasted
- •A solid 90 HP for a middle stage
- •It is a stepping stone, not a finisher, so it can be knocked out before it evolves.
Pairs well with

It evolves into Hydrapple ex, the deck's healing wall.
Use Energy Loop to pull Energy back when you want to move it onto your main attacker.
Top players who use this deck
Hydrapple ex is a dedicated counter to Dragapult rather than a tournament-topper. Its Grass and Meganium shell has reached the money at events such as the Los Angeles Regional, and a related Grass deck took Top 4 at Australia's Melbourne Regional.
Dipplin is a small dragon and grass apple Pokémon that hides inside a piece of fruit.
Think of Dipplin as the in-between stage. Your child plays it so they can soon evolve into the much stronger Hydrapple ex.
