Lightning270 HPBasicBeginner to play

What this card does

It has 270 hit points and evolves from Zeraora V.

It can use Crushing Beat to deal 190 damage and remove a Stadium card.

It uses its VSTAR Power Lightning Storm Star to choose one of the opponents Pokemon four times and deal 60 damage each time.

Signature attack

Crushing Beat

You may discard a Stadium in play. (190 damage)

The key feature is Lightning Storm Star which lets you target a single Pokemon four times for a total of 240 damage. This attack bypasses Weakness and Resistance so the opponent cannot reduce the damage with their cards.

Lightning Storm Star

Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon 4 times. (You can choose the same Pokémon more than once.) For each time you chose a Pokémon, do 60 damage to it. This damage isn't affected by Weakness or Resistance. (You can't use more than 1 VSTAR Power in a game.)

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits aggressive decks that focus on dealing high damage quickly. It works well in decks that already have strong Lightning energy support.

Strengths
  • High damage output
  • Ignores defences
  • Can remove Stadiums
Watch out for
  • One time use only
  • Fighting weakness
  • Requires many energy cards
Pro tip

Use the attack on a Pokemon that is already damaged to knock it out in one turn.

From the Pokédex

Zeraora is known as the Thunderclap Pokemon and is said to appear when lightning strikes.

Note for the parent
