Yanmega E4
Rotated OutA grass-type Yanmega that disrupts your child's opponent by forcing them to swap their active Pokemon.
What this card does
The Skill Dive attack deals 10 damage and ignores weakness or resistance for benched Pokemon.
The Whirlwind attack costs two Grass energy and one Colourless energy to deal 50 damage and force a switch.
Whirlwind
Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon. (50 damage)
This card allows your child to control the board by making their opponent swap out their active Pokemon. This is useful because it can move a powerful enemy onto the bench where it might be easier to defeat.
Attacks
Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 10 damage to that Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Your opponent switches the Defending Pokémon with 1 of his or her Benched Pokémon.
Which deck it belongs in
It fits well in decks that rely on switching strategies or dealing with specific threats. It works best when paired with other cards that benefit from having an opponent's Pokemon on the bench.
- •Board control
- •Damage to bench
- •Switching power
- •Weak to Lightning
- •Low HP
- •Energy cost
Use Whirlwind to move a high damage opponent onto the bench where your child can target it with Skill Dive without weakness penalties.
Yanmega is known for its large wings and sharp eyesight which help it hunt insects in the wild.
Help your child count the Grass and Colourless energy carefully before playing the Whirlwind attack.
