Volo

Rotated Out

A powerful but risky Supporter card that clears the bench.

SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

The player chooses one Pokémon V on their Bench.

That chosen Pokémon and all cards attached to it are discarded.

What it does

Volo

Discard 1 of your Benched Pokémon V and all attached cards.

This card allows you to remove a specific opponent's strong Pokémon from play. It is useful for clearing out dangerous threats but requires careful timing because the effect is mandatory once played.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on controlling the board state by removing key pieces. It works best when you can predict which bench attacker will cause the most trouble.

Strengths
  • Bench control
  • Removing threats
  • Situational power
Watch out for
  • Mandatory discard
  • Loss of resources
  • High risk
Pro tip

Use this when the opponent has a weak or unimportant Pokémon V on the bench that is blocking your own attacks.

Good to know

Volo is a character from the Pokémon Legends: Arceus game who helps the player navigate the Hisui region.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that using this card is a gamble because they cannot choose which Pokémon V is removed if multiple are present, though the rule implies a choice of target before resolution.
