Unown G
Rotated OutA defensive support card that can shield your main attacker from special effects.
What this card does
Unown G has an ability called GUARD that lets you move it to another Pokémon as a Tool card once per turn.
While attached, it prevents all negative effects of attacks on that Pokémon, though damage still counts.
It can also attack for 50 damage if it already has damage counters on it.
GUARD
Once during your turn (before your attack), if Unown G is on your Bench, you may discard all cards attached to Unown G and attach Unown G to 1 of your Pokémon as a Pokémon Tool card. As long as Unown G is attached to a Pokémon, prevent all effects of attacks, excluding damage, done to that Pokémon.
The key feature is the GUARD ability. It allows you to attach Unown G to a valuable Pokémon to stop status conditions like paralysis or confusion from enemy attacks.
Attacks
If Unown G has any damage counters on it, this attack's base damage is 10.

Which deck it belongs in
This card suits decks that rely on a single powerful attacker who needs protection from being messed up by opponent effects.
- •Strong defense
- •Versatile attachment
- •Low energy cost
- •Low HP total
- •Weak against Psychic types
Use the ability early to protect your attacker before they get hit by a confusing or paralyzing attack.
Unown looks like letters of the alphabet and is known for its mysterious psychic powers.
Explain to your child that this card is about keeping their main Pokemon safe rather than dealing lots of damage itself.
