Trick Coin

Rotated Out

A Trainer card that lets you reroll coin flips for an attack.

TrainerBeginner to play

What this card does

The Trick Coin card is a Tool attached to a Pokemon.

You may use it once per turn after flipping coins for an attack.

It allows you to ignore the first set of results and flip again.

What it does

Trick Coin

Once during your turn, after you flip any coins for an attack of the Pokémon this card is attached to, you may ignore all effects of those coin flips and begin flipping those coins again. (You may only use effects that let you flip coins again, including effects from other cards, once during your turn.)

This card gives your child a second chance if their initial coin flips produce poor results. It adds a layer of strategy by allowing them to try again for a better outcome on that turn.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely heavily on coin flipping mechanics for damage or effects. It works best when paired with Pokemon whose attacks have variable outcomes based on these flips.

Strengths
  • Reroll opportunity
  • Unpredictable attacks
  • Strategic control
Watch out for
  • One use per turn limit
  • Dependent on coin flips
  • Specific deck teamwork
Pro tip

Save the reroll for when the first flip clearly fails to meet the attack requirements.

Good to know

Trainers are items that help Pokemon in battle.

Note for the parent

Remind your child they can only use this effect once during their entire turn.
