Team Rocket's Arbok
A dark-type defender that stops opponents from using special abilities.
What this card does
The Potent Glare ability blocks your opponent from playing Ability cards from their hand.
This protection only applies to non-Team Rocket Pokémon while Arbok is the Active Pokémon.
The Spinning Tail attack deals 30 damage to all of your opponent's Pokémon simultaneously.
Potent Glare
As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, your opponent can't play any Pokémon that has an Ability from their hand, except for Team Rocket's Pokémon.
This card acts as a shield by preventing the opponent from using powerful abilities unless they are also Team Rocket cards. It allows you to control the pace of the game by limiting their options while dealing consistent damage across the board.
Attacks
This attack does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Abilities
As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, your opponent can't play any Pokémon that has an Ability from their hand, except for Team Rocket's Pokémon.
Which deck it belongs in
It fits well in decks that rely on stopping specific opponent strategies or disrupting their setup. The card works best when paired with other Team Rocket Pokémon to maximise its protective effect.

- •Multi-target damage
- •Strategic control
- •Fighting weakness
- •Requires three energy
- •Limited to Team Rocket exception
Keep Arbok in the Active Spot as long as possible to maintain the ability block throughout the turn.
Arbok is known for its fierce glare and powerful venom which can paralyse prey instantly.
Explain to your child that this card stops the other player from using special powers, which can be very frustrating for them.
