Rotated Out

A Stadium card that punishes players for bringing in new Basic Pokemon.

StadiumBeginner to play

What this card does

The card stays face up on the field to affect all players.

When any player moves a Basic Pokemon from their hand to their Bench, they place two damage counters on it.

What it does

Team Magma's Secret Base

Whenever any player puts a Basic Pokémon (except for Team Magma Pokémon) from his or her hand onto his or her Bench, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon.

This Stadium card creates a harsh penalty for switching out your main attackers. It forces both you and your opponent to think carefully before bringing a new Basic Pokemon into play.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on keeping their strongest Pokemon in play rather than rotating them frequently. It can disrupt opponents who build their strategy around quickly benching fresh troops.

Strengths
  • Disrupts opponent's setup
  • Protects your active spot
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Hurts your own team too
  • Only affects Basic Pokemon
  • Requires careful timing
Pro tip

Use this card when your opponent is trying to set up a powerful attack but has weak Basic Pokemon on their bench.

Good to know

Team Magma are a group of villains who want to expand the land in the Hoenn region.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that this card makes every switch costly, so they should only move a Pokemon if it is safe to take damage.
