Team Galactic's Wager

Rotated Out

A risky supporter card that swaps hands for a chance at drawing many more cards.

SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

You place this card next to your active Pokemon and keep it until your turn ends.

Both players shuffle their hands back into their decks.

You play Rock-Paper-Scissors against your opponent.

What it does

Team Galactic's Wager

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Each player shuffles his or her hand into his or her deck, and you and your opponent play "Rock-Paper-Scissors." The player who wins draws up to 6 cards. The player who loses draws up to 3 cards. (You draw your cards first.)

This card forces both you and your opponent to discard everything in hand and draw new ones. It is a high risk because you might lose the game of chance and only get three cards instead of six.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on drawing many cards quickly to find key items or Pokemon.

Strengths
  • High reward potential
  • Disrupts opponent's hand
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Lucky guess required
  • One supporter per turn rule
  • Discards current hand
Pro tip

Encourage your child to play Rock-Paper-Scissors with confidence since the outcome is purely random.

Team Galactic was a criminal organisation in the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that this card involves luck so they should not feel upset if they lose the Rock-Paper-Scissors game.
