Team Aqua's Seviper
Rotated OutA Basic Psychic Seviper that disrupts opponents with poison and energy removal.
What this card does
Venomous Fang lets you flip a coin to Poison the opponent's Active Pokémon on heads.
Venom Tail deals 30 damage and discards an Energy from the opponent's Active Pokémon if it already has a Special Condition.
Venom Tail
If your opponent's Active Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, discard an Energy attached to that Pokémon. (30 damage)
This card uses its second attack to strip away resources rather than just dealing damage. It is most effective when you can ensure the opposing Pokémon is already affected by a condition like Poison or Paralysis.
Attacks
Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned.
If your opponent's Active Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, discard an Energy attached to that Pokémon.
Which deck it belongs in
It fits well in decks that focus on inflicting Special Conditions early. This strategy allows Venom Tail to trigger consistently for maximum impact.
- •Energy disruption
- •Condition teamwork
- •Basic status
- •Coin flip risk
- •Psychic weakness
Use Venomous Fang first to Poison the opponent, then switch to Venom Tail on the next turn for guaranteed energy removal.
Seviper has no eyelids so it can never close its eyes.
Check if your child's deck includes cards that inflict conditions, as this Pokémon relies on them to shine.
