What this card does

Steelix GL has 110 Hit Points and requires Metal energy to play.

It can use Mend to search its discard pile for a Metal Energy card and remove one damage counter.

It can use Squeeze to deal 30 or more damage. If the coin flip is heads it deals an extra 50 damage and paralyzes the opponent.

Signature attack

Squeeze

Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 30 damage plus 50 more damage and the Defending Pokémon is now Paralyzed. (30+ damage)

The key feature of this card is its ability to recover from damage. The Mend attack lets you find a Metal Energy in your discard pile and attach it while healing Steelix GL at the same time.

Note for the parent

Remind your child that the powerful Squeeze attack depends on a coin flip so it is not guaranteed to work every turn.
