What this card does

You place this card face down in the Active Spot or on your Bench at the start of the game instead of playing it normally.

It counts as a 120 HP Basic Energy-type Pokémon, so opponents must attack it like a regular creature.

You can discard it from play during your turn to remove it from the field.

What it does

Snorlax Doll

If this card is in your hand when you are setting up to play, you may put it face down in the Active Spot or on your Bench as if it were a 120-HP Basic {C} Pokémon. (You can do this only when you are setting up to play.) At any time during your turn, you may discard this card from play. This card can't be affected by any Special Conditions and can't retreat. If this card is Knocked Out, your opponent can't take any Prize cards for it.

This card works by tricking your opponent into attacking a dummy target. Because it has 120 HP and cannot be knocked out for prize cards, it buys your real Pokémon time to set up or attack safely.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that need extra protection during the early turns while you build your strategy. It is useful in control-style decks where surviving the first few hits is critical.

Strengths
  • High health
  • Prize protection
  • Early game safety
Watch out for
  • One time use only
  • Cannot retreat
  • No special condition immunity in play
Pro tip

Use it as the Active Pokémon to force your opponent to waste their strongest attacks on a decoy.

Good to know

Snorlax is known for sleeping anywhere and only waking up when it is hungry.

Note for the parent
