Shrine of Punishment
Rotated OutA high stakes stadium card that damages all powerful Pokemon-GX and Pokemon-EX on the field.
What this card does
It places one damage counter on every Pokemon-GX and Pokemon-EX during the turn between phase.
This affects both your own Pokemon and your opponent's Pokemon equally.
The card remains in play until another Stadium card is played or a duplicate is attempted.
Shrine of Punishment
Between turns, put 1 damage counter on each Pokémon-GX and Pokémon-EX (both yours and your opponent's). This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card.
This card forces damage onto the strongest units in the game regardless of who owns them. It matters because it can weaken key targets quickly but also hurts your own strategy if you rely on those same powerful Pokemon.
Which deck it belongs in
It suits aggressive decks that want to chip away at high HP threats. It works best when you have ways to protect your own Pokemon or recover damage.
- •Universal damage
- •Targets high HP units
- •Stays in play
- •Hurts own team
- •Removed by other stadiums
- •Requires specific Pokemon types
Play this only when your opponent has more powerful Pokemon-GX or Pokemon-EX than you do.
Stadium cards create a special battlefield rule that changes how the game is played.
Explain to your child that this card is a double edged sword because it damages both sides equally.
