What this card does

The Legendary Guidance attack lets you search your deck for up to two Energy cards and attach them to any of your Pokémon.

You must shuffle your deck after using this ability.

The Beam attack deals 10 damage.

Signature attack

Beam

No game text. (10 damage)

This card allows a player to bypass the slow process of drawing Energy by searching directly from the deck. It is valuable because it can power up multiple Pokémon at once, but the requirement to shuffle the deck means you lose any cards currently in your hand.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on rapid setup and need to attach specific Energy types quickly. The low HP makes it better as a support piece rather than a main attacker.

Strengths
  • Rapid energy attachment
  • Searches for specific resources
  • Ultra rare status
Watch out for
  • Loses hand cards on shuffle
  • Very low HP of 30
  • Weak to Psychic attacks
Pro tip

Use Legendary Guidance early in the game to set up multiple attackers, but be careful not to discard key cards from your hand.

From the Pokédex

Mew is said to contain the genetic codes of all Pokemon, which explains its ability to learn any move.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that shuffling the deck is a trade-off, as they will lose any cards they were holding in their hand.
