Rocket's Mewtwo ex
Rotated OutA fragile but dangerous attacker that can swap damage with its opponent.
What this card does
The Darkness Switch attack discards an energy card to move all damage counters from your Mewtwo to the opposing Pokemon.
Hypnoblast deals 40 damage and may put the opponent to sleep if you flip heads.
Psyburn deals a steady 70 damage with no extra effects.
Psyburn
No game text. (70 damage)
This card allows you to discard one of its own energy cards to transfer all accumulated damage to the defending Pokemon. This is powerful because it can suddenly defeat an opponent who has been attacking your Mewtwo for several turns.
Attacks
Discard an Energy card attached to Rocket's Mewtwo ex, and then switch all damage counters on Rocket's Mewtwo ex with those on the Defending Pokémon. (If an effect of this attack is prevented, this attack does nothing.)
Flip a coin. If heads, the Defending Pokémon is now Asleep.
Which deck it belongs in
It suits decks that focus on dealing heavy damage quickly or controlling the board with sleep effects. You need enough energy acceleration to support its attacks and survive its weakness to Psychic types.
- •Damage swapping
- •Sleep effect
- •High damage output
- •Weak to Psychic
- •Only 100 HP
- •One hit knockout risk
Use Darkness Switch when the opponent has taken significant damage, as it transfers all that hurt back to them.
Mewtwo is a Pokemon created by genetic engineering and has immense psychic power.
Your child must remember that if this Pokemon is knocked out, their opponent takes two prize cards instead of one.
