What this card does

The Rescue Scarf is a Tool card you attach to one of your Pokemon.

If that Pokemon is Knocked Out by an opponent's attack, it goes back into your hand instead of the discard pile.

What it does

Rescue Scarf

If the Pokémon this card is attached to is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon, put it into your hand instead of the discard pile.

This card acts as a second life for your Pokemon. It ensures that even if your Pokemon faints, you can still play it again in a future turn rather than losing it completely.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks where you rely on specific powerful Pokemon to stay in play. It is also useful in slower decks where retrieving key pieces from the discard pile is important.

Strengths
  • Prevents loss
  • Keeps resources
  • Adds resilience
Watch out for
  • Only for Knocked Out cases
  • Must be attached beforehand
  • Does not prevent fainting
Pro tip

Attach this to your most valuable or hardest-to-replace Pokemon to maximise its value.

Good to know

The name suggests a scarf used by rescuers, fitting the theme of saving and recovery.

Note for the parent

Remind your child that this card only works if the Pokemon is Knocked Out by damage, not by other effects like being forced to discard.
