What this card does

Thunder Throw lets you choose two of your opponent's Benched Pokémon and deal 10 damage to each.

Repeat Lightning deals at least 30 damage and adds 10 more for every damaged Pokémon on the bench.

Signature attack

Repeat Lightning

Does 30 damage plus 10 more damage for each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. (30+ damage)

The card shines by bypassing the usual protection rules for Benched Pokémon. This allows you to chip away at multiple targets quickly without worrying about their Weakness or Resistance.

Attacks

C

  • Consistent damage
  • No resistance checks
Watch out for
  • Fighting weakness
  • Requires bench targets
  • Basic only
Pro tip

Use Thunder Throw early to spread damage before your opponent can heal or switch out.

From the Pokédex

Raichu stores electricity in its tail and releases it when threatened.

Note for the parent

Remind them that Benched Pokémon do not use their Weakness or Resistance during this attack.
