What this card does

You place this card next to your Active Pokemon while you use it.

You draw three new cards from your deck.

You choose one card from your hand and move it to the bottom of your deck.

What it does

Professor Oak's Visit

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Draw 3 cards. Then, choose a card from your hand and put it on the bottom of your deck.

This Supporter card helps you find the specific cards you need by giving you three extra chances to look at your deck. The trade off is that you must hide one card away at the bottom, so you should only do this when you have a clear plan for what to discard.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on finding key items or energy quickly. It works well for younger players who need help managing their hand size.

Strengths
  • Hand refresh
  • Card search
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • One use per turn
  • Forced discard
  • Discarded at end of turn
Pro tip

Use this when you have a good card to hide, like a duplicate energy, so it does not clog your future draws.

Good to know

Professor Oak is a famous Pokemon researcher who helps trainers understand the world around them.

Note for the parent

Remember that your child can only play one Supporter card per turn, so this is often a big moment in the game.
