Professor Birch

Rotated Out

A reliable way to refill your hand with six cards.

SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

You place Professor Birch next to your Active Pokémon when you play him.

His effect triggers at the end of your turn to let you draw cards until your hand reaches six.

He is discarded from play after that turn ends.

What it does

Professor Birch

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Draw cards from your deck until you have 6 cards in your hand.

This Supporter card helps you recover from a bad start or run out of options. By drawing up to six cards, it gives you more choices for your next moves.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that need consistent access to specific cards or energy. It works well in strategies where having a full hand is crucial for survival.

Strengths
  • Hand recovery
  • Card advantage
  • Consistency
Watch out for
  • One use only
  • End of turn timing
  • Supporter limit
Pro tip

Play him when your hand is empty or low to maximise the number of cards you draw.

Good to know

Professor Birch is a researcher who studies Pokémon in the Hoenn region.

Note for the parent

Remember that you can only play one Supporter card per turn, so this is a big commitment.
