What this card does

Palkia G has 100 HP and costs one Water energy to use its first attack.

The Splashing Turn attack deals 20 damage and lets you swap Palkia G with a Pokémon on your bench.

The Pearl Breath attack costs two additional Colorless energies for 50 damage.

Signature attack

Pearl Breath

Does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (50 damage)

The key feature is the ability to switch Palkia G with another Pokémon during your turn. This allows you to protect your attacker from weak attacks or set up a stronger position for the next round.

Attacks

WC
Splashing Turn20

You may switch Palkia G with 1 of your Benched Pokémon.

WCC
Pearl Breath50

Does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks that rely on switching strategies and controlling which Pokémon faces the opponent. It works well in water-based teams where bench damage can chip away at the opposition.

Strengths
  • Bench damage capability
  • Flexible positioning
  • Basic Pokémon status
Watch out for
  • Weak to Lightning types
  • Requires specific energy costs
  • Benched damage ignores resistance
Pro tip

Use the swap ability to move a damaged Palkia G back to safety while bringing a fresh attacker forward.

From the Pokédex

Palkia is known as the Pokémon that controls space and is said to live in a gap in the dimension.

Note for the parent

Your child will need to track which Pokémon is currently active versus on the bench because the swap ability changes the game state significantly.
