TrainerBeginner to play

What this card does

Attach the card to one of your Pokémon as a Tool.

Remove two damage counters from that Pokémon at any time between turns.

Discard the card after using its effect or if the Pokémon is Knocked Out.

What it does

Oran Berry

Attach Oran Berry to 1 of your Pokémon that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card. At any time between turns, if the Pokémon this card is attached to has at least 2 damage counters on it, remove 2 damage counters from it. Then, discard Oran Berry.

The Oran Berry allows you to heal two damage counters from an attached Pokémon whenever you need it. This helps keep your creatures in play longer by reversing damage taken in previous turns.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks that rely on keeping a specific Pokémon alive for multiple turns. It works well in strategies where healing is needed between rounds rather than during the active turn.

Strengths
  • Flexible timing
  • Removes significant damage
  • Reusable healing
Watch out for
  • One time use per card
  • Discarded if knocked out
  • Requires two damage counters
Pro tip

Wait until the Pokémon has exactly two or more damage counters before using the Berry to maximise its value.

Good to know

Oran Berries are known for their ability to restore health, which is why they are often used by trainers to care for their Pokémon.

Note for the parent

Remind your child that they can use this ability at any time between turns, not just when it is their turn to play cards.
