The Rocky Avalanche GX attack lets your Onix take 100 less damage during the opponent's next turn. This acts like a shield that keeps your tough Pokemon alive against powerful strikes.
Attacks
Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed.
During your opponent’s next turn, this Pokémon takes 100 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits slow decks that focus on defending and surviving long matches. It works well when you need a reliable wall to protect weaker attackers.
- •High durability
- •Damage reduction
- •Paralysis effect
- •Weak to Grass types
- •Needs many energy cards
- •One time use only
Use the paralyze attack early to stop the opponent from attacking, then build up energy for the heavy damage later.
Onix is a giant rock snake that burrows through the ground at 50 kilometres per hour.
Remind your child they can only use the GX attack once per game, so save it for when the opponent is threatening to knock out their Pokemon.
