Memory Berry

Rotated Out

A tool that lets your Pokemon copy an attack.

TrainerBeginner to play

What this card does

Attach Memory Berry to a Pokemon that has no other tools.

The attached Pokemon can use any attack from its Basic form or Stage 1 Evolution.

You must still pay the Energy cost for that copied attack.

What it does

Memory Berry

Attach Memory Berry to 1 of your Pokémon that doesn't already have a Pokémon Tool attached to it. If that Pokémon is Knocked Out, discard this card. The Pokémon this card is attached to can use any attack from its Basic Pokémon or its Stage 1 Evolution card. (You still have to pay for that attack's Energy cost.)

This card allows a weaker Pokemon to use a powerful move from a stronger relative. It matters because it gives your team more options without needing extra cards in hand.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on evolving Pokemon or mixing different stages. It works well when you want to surprise your opponent with an unexpected attack.

Strengths
  • Versatile attacks
  • Uncommon rarity
  • Strategic flexibility
Watch out for
  • Cannot be attached if another tool is present
  • Discarded if the Pokemon is Knocked Out
  • Requires specific Energy costs
Pro tip

Check the Basic or Stage 1 card for attacks that match your available Energy.

Good to know

Memory Berries are rare fruits found in the Sinnoh region.

Note for the parent

Remind your child that they still need enough Energy cards to pay for the copied attack.
