Solar Transfer is an ability you can use as often as you like during your turn. It moves a Basic Grass Energy from one of your Pokémon to another each time. This lets you gather Energy onto a fresh attacker or rescue it from a Pokémon that is about to be knocked out.

Which deck it belongs in
This card is the centre of its own Grass deck built around it, using Solar Transfer to keep Energy exactly where it is needed while the huge body soaks up damage.
- •Enormous 380 HP makes it very hard to knock out.
- •Jungle Dump heals 30 each turn, so it lasts even longer.
- •Solar Transfer freely rescues Energy from a fading Pokémon.
- •A Mega Evolution Pokémon gives up three Prize cards when it is knocked out, so losing it hands the opponent a big lead.
- •As a Stage 2, it needs Bulbasaur and Ivysaur in play first, so it is slow to set up.
- •Solar Transfer only moves Basic Grass Energy, not other Energy types.
Pairs well with
Solar Transfer can only move Basic Grass Energy, so the deck wants plenty of it.
Lets you evolve from Bulbasaur straight to the Mega, skipping the Ivysaur step.
Use Solar Transfer to pull Energy off a Pokémon before it is knocked out, so you never lose your Grass Energy to the discard pile.
The flower on Venusaur's back grows larger and more vivid as it takes in plenty of sunlight.
The huge 380 HP and the built-in heal make this a forgiving card to learn on. It can take a lot of hits, which gives a newer player room to recover from mistakes.
