Marley's Request
Rotated OutA flexible Supporter that helps you dig for specific cards from your discard pile.
What this card does
You place this card next to your Active Pokemon until your turn ends.
You search your discard pile for two different Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium cards.
Your opponent picks which one goes into your hand while the other is discarded.
Marley's Request
You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Search your discard pile for 2 different Trainer, Supporter, or Stadium cards, show them to your opponent, and your opponent chooses 1 of them. Put that card into your hand, and discard the other card. (If all Trainer, Supporter, and Stadium cards in your discard pile have the same name, choose 1 of them. Show that card to your opponent and put it into your hand.)
This card acts as a safety net when you have run out of resources. It lets you retrieve a key card from your discard pile but gives your opponent the chance to block it by choosing which card they want to keep.
Which deck it belongs in
It suits decks that rely on reusing powerful Supporter cards or Stadiums multiple times. It works well in control strategies where managing your discard pile is part of the plan.
- •Resource recovery
- •Unpredictable outcome
- •Discard pile utility
- •One Supporter per turn limit
- •Opponent choice
- •Card loss risk
Use this when you have two different valuable cards in your discard pile to maximise the chance of getting what you need.
Marley is a character from Pokemon Legends Arceus who helps the player with their tasks.
Explain that your child must show the two chosen cards to their opponent before deciding which one to keep.
