Mamoswine GL
Rotated OutA Basic Water-type that damages both players' active Pokemon between turns.
What this card does
Icy Aura places a damage counter on your active Pokemon and your opponent's active Pokemon between turns, unless they are Water types.
Avalanche deals 60 damage and can hit benched Pokemon if you flip heads.
Icy Aura
As long as Mamoswine GL is your Active Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on each Active Pokémon (excluding Water Pokémon) (both yours and your opponent's) between turns.
The Icy Aura ability creates a shared risk by damaging the active Pokemon of both players each turn. This matters because it forces your child to manage their own health while trying to weaken the opponent.
Attacks
Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Abilities
As long as Mamoswine GL is your Active Pokémon, put 1 damage counter on each Active Pokémon (excluding Water Pokémon) (both yours and your opponent's) between turns.
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits aggressive decks that use Water energy to sustain themselves. It works best when paired with other Water Pokemon to avoid self-damage.
- •Shared damage pressure
- •Benched Pokemon threat
- •Basic Pokemon speed
- •Self-damage risk
- •Metal weakness
- •Coin flip uncertainty
Use Icy Aura when the opponent has a fragile active Pokemon but you have a sturdy Water type to survive the hit.
Mamoswine is known for its long tusks which it uses to break through ice and dig up food in harsh winters.
Remind your child that using this ability will hurt their own Pokemon as well as the opponent's.
