Magma Basin
Rotated OutA Stadium card that helps you attach Fire Energy from the discard pile but adds damage counters.
What this card does
The card stays in play as a Stadium effect for both players.
Once per turn, each player may move a Fire Energy from their discard pile to a Benched Fire Pokémon.
If you use this ability, you must place 2 damage counters on that Pokémon.
Magma Basin
Once during each player's turn, that player may attach a Fire Energy card from their discard pile to 1 of their Benched Fire Pokémon. If a player attached Energy to a Pokémon in this way, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon.
This card acts as a shared resource for Fire types. It allows you to recycle energy quickly but forces you to weaken the affected Pokémon with two damage counters each time.
Which deck it belongs in
It suits aggressive Fire decks that rely on Benched attackers. It works best when you can manage the extra damage or use healing support.
- •Energy recycling
- •Benched setup
- •Shared effect
- •Adds damage counters
- •Affects both players
- •Uncommon rarity
Use this only when you need a specific energy type and can afford the health loss on your attacker.
Magma Basins are hot springs formed by volcanic activity, often found in regions with active fire types.
Explain to your child that using this card has a cost, so they should weigh the benefit of new energy against the risk of more damage.
