Magikarp & Wailord GX
Rotated OutA massive TAG TEAM-GX Pokémon that deals heavy damage to your opponent's entire bench.
What this card does
The card has 300 HP and requires five Water Energy cards to use its first attack.
Its GX attack can deal 100 damage to all of the opponent's Benched Pokémon if you attach seven extra Water Energy cards.
Super Splash
No game text. (180 damage)
The key feature is the Towering Splash GX attack which targets the opponent's weaker Pokémon on their bench. It matters because it removes threats quickly but requires a large investment of energy cards to activate.
Attacks
If this Pokémon has at least 7 extra Water Energy attached to it (in addition to this attack’s cost), this attack does 100 damage to each of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. (Don’t apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits aggressive Water type decks that can rapidly attach multiple Energy cards. It works best when you need to clear out the opponent's support or attacker Pokémon.
- •High HP
- •Bench damage
- •TAG TEAM power
- •Grass weakness
- •Energy hungry
- •One GX per game
Attach Energy cards to other Pokémon first to save time before using this attack.
Magikarp is known for being unable to swim well but evolves into the powerful Wailord.
Your child will need to explain why they are attaching so many Energy cards just to use this special move.
