What this card does

The game puts any Knocked Out Pokemon into the Lost Zone rather than the discard pile.

All cards attached to that Pokemon are discarded at the same time.

What it does

Lost City

Whenever a Pokémon (either yours or your opponent's) is Knocked Out, put that Pokémon in the Lost Zone instead of the discard pile. (Discard all attached cards.)

The Lost City card changes where defeated Pokemon go during play. It sends them to the Lost Zone which makes it harder for opponents to retrieve them using standard recovery methods.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks that want to disrupt an opponent's resources by removing key pieces from circulation. It works well in strategies that do not rely on recycling discarded cards.

Strengths
  • Disrupts recovery
  • Removes resources
  • Controls board state
Watch out for
  • Hurts own recovery
  • Requires specific strategy
Pro tip

Use this card to protect your key Pokemon by making sure they are not easily returned if defeated.

Good to know

The Lost Zone is a mysterious area in the Pokemon world where things that are lost truly disappear.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that the Lost Zone is a place where Pokemon cannot be easily brought back into play.
