Level Max

Rotated Out

A Trainer card that upgrades one of your Pokemon to a stronger LV.X form.

ItemBeginner to play

What this card does

Flip a coin to see if the upgrade works.

If it is heads, find an LV.X Pokemon in your deck and attach it to one of your existing Pokemon.

Shuffle your deck after doing this.

What it does

Level Max

Flip a coin. If heads, search your deck for a Pokémon LV.X that levels up from 1 of your Pokémon, and put it onto that Pokémon. (This counts as leveling up that Pokémon.) Shuffle your deck afterward.

This card allows a regular Pokemon to evolve into its more powerful LV.X stage during play. It matters because LV.X Pokemon usually have much stronger attacks than their basic forms.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks built around specific Pokemon that have an LV.X evolution. You need enough copies of the target Pokemon in your deck to make the search reliable.

Strengths
  • Powerful upgrades
  • Deck searching
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Coin flip risk
  • Shuffle requirement
  • Specific target needed
Pro tip

Keep the deck small to increase the chance of finding the right LV.X Pokemon.

Good to know

LV.X Pokemon are a special evolution stage introduced in the Platinum era.

Note for the parent

Explain that this is a gamble, as the coin flip decides if the powerful upgrade happens or not.
