What this card does

The active Pokemon deals 10 extra damage for each Prize card your opponent has taken.

This bonus applies before Weakness and Resistance are calculated.

What it does

Iris

During this turn, your Pokémon’s attacks do 10 more damage to the Active Pokémon for each Prize card your opponent has taken (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

This card turns the opponent's progress into a weakness. As they take more Prizes, their Active Pokemon becomes significantly easier to defeat.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that aim to win quickly by taking multiple Prize cards in one turn. It works well when you can force your opponent to lose several Prizes at once.

Strengths
  • High damage potential
  • Encourages aggressive play
  • Simple mechanic
Watch out for
  • Only lasts for one turn
  • Ineffective early game
  • Requires specific deck strategy
Pro tip

Use this card when your opponent has already lost two or more Prize cards to maximise the damage boost.

Good to know

Iris is a Dragon Master from the Unova region who travels with her Axew.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that this card is most effective late in the game when the opponent has already lost some prizes.
