SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

You place this card next to your Active Pokemon when you play it.

You must discard one card from your hand to use its effect.

You search your deck for up to three Basic Pokemon with 100 HP or less and add them to your hand.

What it does

Holon Mentor

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Discard a card from your hand. If you can't discard a card from your hand, you can't play this card. Search your deck for up to 3 Basic Pokémon that each has 100 HP or less, show them to your opponent, and put them into your hand. Shuffle your deck afterward.

This card allows you to quickly find several weak Basic Pokemon from your deck. It is useful for building a board with multiple low-health creatures early in the game.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on playing many Basic Pokemon at once. Look for sets featuring Pokemon like Pichu, Ralts, or Skitty which have 100 HP or less.

Strengths
  • Fetches multiple cards
  • Targets weak Pokemon
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Requires discarding a card
  • One use per turn limit
  • Only finds Basic Pokemon
Pro tip

Ensure your child has enough cards in hand to discard before shuffling, as they cannot play this if their hand is empty.
