What this card does

Uses the Singe attack to Burn the opponent's Active Pokemon without spending Energy.

Uses Petrifying Flame to force the opponent to shuffle a random card from their hand back into their deck.

Signature attack

Petrifying Flame

Choose a random card from your opponent's hand. Your opponent reveals that card and shuffles it into their deck. (120 damage)

The key feature is Petrifying Flame, which removes a specific card from your opponent's hand at random. This makes it difficult for them to plan their next moves because they lose resources unpredictably.

Attacks

No Energy
Singe

Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Burned.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks that focus on controlling the game by removing key cards rather than dealing damage quickly. It works well in strategies that can protect itself from Darkness attacks.

Strengths
  • Disruptive hand removal
  • No cost for status effect
  • High HP for a Basic Pokemon
Watch out for
  • Weak to Darkness attacks
  • Randomness of hand shuffle
  • Requires specific Energy types
Pro tip

Use Singe early to apply the Burn status, which stops the opponent from attacking in their next turn.

From the Pokédex

Hisuian Typhlosion is a regional form found in the Hisui region and uses fire powers that are distinct from its Kantonian counterpart.

Note for the parent

Check if your child has enough Psychic Energy cards to use the stronger attack, as it requires two Psychic types.
