What this card does

Draw cards until you have five in your hand.

Draw seven cards instead if none of your Pokemon have Energy attached.

What it does

Grusha

Draw cards until you have 5 cards in your hand. If none of your Pokémon have any Energy attached, draw cards until you have 7 cards in your hand instead.

This card helps you recover from a bad start or empty hand. The bonus to seven cards is very useful when your Pokemon are not yet powered up with Energy.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that struggle to find basic cards early on. It works well in strategies that delay attaching Energy to build a strong board later.

Strengths
  • Consistent card draw
  • Early game recovery
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Ineffective with powered Pokemon
  • Depends on hand size
  • Single use per turn
Pro tip

Play this when your Pokemon have no Energy to get the maximum seven cards.

Good to know

Grusha is a Gym Leader in the Paldea region who specialises in Ice type Pokemon.

Note for the parent

Check if any of their Pokemon have Energy before they play this, as it changes how many cards they get.
