What this card does

Galarian Darmanitan VMAX has 320 hit points and evolves from Galarian Darmanitan V.

It uses the Max Whiteout attack to deal 200 damage to the active Pokemon.

The same attack also deals 30 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokemon.

Signature attack

Max Whiteout

This attack also does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (200 damage)

The key feature is that its main attack hits every Pokemon on the opponent's bench for 30 damage. This matters because it removes weaker support cards quickly and makes it hard for the opponent to hide their strongest Pokemon.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks that want to clear out the opponent's bench rapidly. It works best in aggressive strategies that rely on Water energy sources.

Strengths
  • High damage output
  • Bench clearing ability
  • Large hit points
Watch out for
  • Weak to Metal attacks
  • Requires four Water energy
  • Vulnerable to single-target removal
Pro tip

Use its bench damage to force the opponent to switch their strongest Pokemon into battle earlier than they want.

From the Pokédex

Galarian Darmanitan lives in cold regions and relies on its intense heat to survive.

Note for the parent

Remember that the extra 30 damage to Benched Pokemon ignores any Weakness or Resistance effects.
