Floatzel GL LV.X
Rotated OutA resilient Water type that recovers fallen allies and deals flexible damage.
What this card does
Restores Knocked Out Water Pokemon and their attached cards from the discard pile to your hand.
Deals 20 damage multiplied by the number of Energy cards you show from your hand, then shuffles them back into the deck.
Water Rescue
Whenever any of your Water Pokémon (excluding any Floatzel GL) is Knocked Out by damage from your opponent's attack, you may put that Pokémon and all cards that were attached to it from your discard pile into your hand.
The Water Rescue ability acts as a safety net for your other Water Pokemon. It allows you to retrieve valuable cards that were discarded when a Pokemon was defeated, keeping your resources in play.
Attacks
Choose as many Energy cards from your hand as you like and show them to your opponent. This attack does 20 damage times the number of Energy cards you chose. Put those Energy cards on top of your deck. Shuffle your deck afterward.
Abilities
Whenever any of your Water Pokémon (excluding any Floatzel GL) is Knocked Out by damage from your opponent's attack, you may put that Pokémon and all cards that were attached to it from your discard pile into your hand.
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits decks focused on protecting and recycling Water Pokemon. It works well in strategies that rely on reusing Energy or recovering key pieces after a defeat.
- •Resource recovery
- •Flexible damage output
- •Defensive support
- •Weak to Lightning attacks
- •Requires multiple Energy cards for high damage
- •Excludes itself from ability trigger
Use the attack when you have several Energy cards in hand to maximise damage, then shuffle them back to keep your deck fresh.
Floatzel is known for its incredible speed and agility in the water.
Explain that the attack requires showing cards to the opponent before shuffling them, which is a fair way to prove you have the resources.
