If your Active Pokemon is Knocked Out, you can move a Basic Energy from it to the Pokemon holding this card

What it does

Exp. Share

When your Active Pokémon is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon, you may move a Basic Energy from that Pokémon to the Pokémon this card is attached to.

This card acts as a safety net for your resources. When your main attacker faints, you get to keep an Energy card instead of losing it to the discard pile.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on powerful attacks which might cause their user to faint. It helps maintain momentum by preserving key Energy cards.

Strengths
  • Resource conservation
  • Deck stability
  • Uncommon rarity
Watch out for
  • Requires specific conditions
  • One time use per faint
Pro tip

Attach it to a Pokemon that can survive long enough to take damage, so you can retrieve the Energy later.

Good to know

Exp. Share is a real item used by trainers to help all Pokemon in their party gain experience points together.

Note for the parent
