Ethan's Sudowoodo
A Fighting type that blocks retreats and copies enemy moves.
What this card does
It uses Impound to stop the opponent's Active Pokemon from retreating for one turn.
It uses Try to Imitate to copy an attack from the opponent's Active Pokemon if a coin flip is heads.
Impound
During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat. (20 damage)
The card has two distinct roles depending on the coin toss. It can lock down an opponent with Impound or surprise them by using their own attacks against them.
Attacks
During your opponent's next turn, the Defending Pokémon can't retreat.
Flip a coin. If heads, choose 1 of your opponent's Active Pokémon's attacks and use it as this attack.
Which deck it belongs in
This card fits well in Fighting decks that want to control the pace of the game. It works best when you need to keep a specific threat pinned in place.
- •Retreat denial
- •Copy attacks
- •Basic Pokemon
- •Weak to Grass
- •Coin flip chance
Use Impound early to trap a valuable opponent's Pokemon before it can switch out.
Sudowoodo is known for pretending to be a tree to protect itself from predators.
Explain to your child that they must decide whether to use the reliable damage or the risky copy attack each turn.
