Electrical Cord

A safety net that shares energy when your active Pokemon falls.

TrainerBeginner to play

What this card does

The Electrical Cord is a Tool card you attach to one of your Lightning type Pokemon.

If that Pokemon is knocked out while in the Active Spot, you move two Lightning Energy cards from it.

You then attach one of those energy cards to each of two different Pokemon on your bench.

What it does

Electrical Cord

If the {L} Pokémon this card is attached to is in the Active Spot and is Knocked Out by damage from an attack from your opponent's Pokémon, move 2 {L} Energy from that Pokémon and attach 1 Energy each to 2 of your Benched Pokémon.

This card acts as a backup plan for when your main attacker is defeated. It allows you to recover resources by spreading the lost energy to other members of your team instead of losing them completely.

Which deck it belongs in

It fits well in decks that rely on multiple Lightning type Pokemon to attack together. It helps keep your bench fighters ready even if your primary attacker is removed from play.

Strengths
  • Resource recovery
  • Bench support
  • Attack continuity
Watch out for
  • Only works on Lightning types
  • Requires specific conditions
  • Limited to two benched targets
Pro tip

Attach this card before your Pokemon takes damage so you can quickly redistribute energy if it gets knocked out.

Good to know

Electrical Cord is a Trainer card representing a piece of equipment rather than a living creature.

Note for the parent

Your child will need to remember to attach this card to the correct Pokemon and track which energy cards are moved during the game.
