Darkrai-GX
Rotated OutA powerful Darkrai that returns from the discard pile and can instantly defeat weakened opponents.
What this card does
It has an ability to move itself from the discard pile to your bench and attach energy.
It can attack for 130 damage which ignores resistance.
It has a special GX attack that knocks out an opponent's active Pokémon if it has a special condition.
Restoration
Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is in your discard pile, you may put it onto your Bench. Then, attach a Darkness Energy card from your discard pile to this Pokémon.
The Restoration ability lets you reuse this card from the discard pile, saving you from having to draw it again. The Dead End-GX attack is very strong because it defeats any opponent's Pokémon that is already poisoned or paralyzed.
Attacks
This attack's damage isn't affected by Resistance.
If your opponent's Active Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, that Pokémon is Knocked Out. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
Abilities
Once during your turn (before your attack), if this Pokémon is in your discard pile, you may put it onto your Bench. Then, attach a Darkness Energy card from your discard pile to this Pokémon.
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits a deck that focuses on putting special conditions like poison on the opponent. It works well in decks that can easily retrieve energy and cards from the discard pile.
- •High damage output
- •Recyclable ability
- •Ignores resistance
- •One GX attack limit
- •Fighting weakness
- •Requires specific conditions
Use the ability to get Darkrai-GX back onto the bench and attach energy, then use Dead End-GX if the opponent's active Pokémon is already affected by a special condition.
Darkrai is known as a nocturnal Pokemon that only appears to people who are in great pain.
Remind your child they can only use the GX attack once per game, so it is important to choose the right moment to play it.
