What this card does

The Cunning ability lets you peek at your opponent's deck and shuffle it if they are not in trouble.

The Litter attack deals extra damage by discarding specific tool cards from your hand.

Signature ability

Cunning

Once during your turn (before your attack), you may look at the top card of your opponent's deck. Then, you may shuffle his or her deck. This power can't be used if Dark Slowking is affected by a Special Condition.

The key feature is the Litter attack. You throw away up to two special cards called Pokémon Tools or Rocket's Secret Machines. Each card you discard adds 30 damage to the base 20 points.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks built around using Tool cards as resources rather than keeping them on Pokemon. It works well in Team Rocket themed decks that can generate those specific discard materials.

Strengths
  • Deck disruption
  • Sudden damage burst
  • Information gathering
Watch out for
  • Grass weakness
  • Disabled by status effects
Pro tip

Use the Cunning ability early in the turn to see what your opponent is planning before they can react.

From the Pokédex

Slowking is known for its wisdom and is said to be able to predict the future with its sixth sense.

Note for the parent

Check if your child has enough Tool cards in their hand to make the attack worthwhile, as discarding them removes them from play.
