Dark Magneton
Rotated OutA tricky Stage 1 Pokemon that disrupts opponents by stealing energy and causing damage over time.
What this card does
Magnetic Lines moves a basic Energy card from your opponent's Defending Pokemon to one of their other Pokemon if they have at least two in play.
Poison Pulse deals 40 damage and leaves the Defending Pokemon Poisoned for future turns.
Poison Pulse
The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned. (40 damage)
The key feature is Magnetic Lines, which allows you to reposition your opponent's resources. This can weaken their current attacker or power up one of their weaker Pokemon, creating a strategic dilemma for them.
Attacks
If your opponent has at least 2 Pokémon in play, move a basic Energy card from the Defending Pokémon to another of your opponent's Pokémon.
The Defending Pokémon is now Poisoned.
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits decks that rely on disrupting the opponent's setup rather than dealing direct damage quickly. It works well in strategies that benefit from controlling where Energy cards are placed on the battlefield.
- •Disruptive ability
- •Poison status effect
- •Energy manipulation
- •Low 70 HP
- •Fighting weakness
- •Requires two Pokemon in play to activate
Use Magnetic Lines to move energy away from a powerful attacker or towards a weaker one to create confusion.
Magneton is known for emitting strong radio waves, which is why it evolves into the more complex Magneton.
Explain to your child that this card is less about hitting hard and more about confusing the other player by moving their energy around.
